We’re aiming to provide updates on a quarterly basis this year, but since it’s been some time since you’ve heard from us, we’re also including a brief recap of 2018 events as well. A more detailed accounting of 2018 is provided as part of the IFTF annual transparency report, at https://iftechfoundation.org/documents/2018-iftf-transparency-report.pdf Registration for NarraScope 2019 is now open! NarraScope is a new games conference that will support interactive narrative, adventure games, and interactive fiction by bringing together writers, developers, and players. The conference will be held at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA from June 14-16, 2019. It is expected to sell out, so register soon! More information at https://blog.iftechfoundation.org/2019-03-04-narrascope-registration-is-open.html and http://narrascope.org/ As of February 2019, IFTF has adopted the IF community forum at intfiction.org. The forum is a long-standing center of IF community discussion, and is now hosted on IFTF servers on a new software platform. The forum is managed through the new IFTF IntFiction Forum Committee, whose members include long-standing forum moderators and IFTF Board members. Announcement and details at https://blog.iftechfoundation.org/2019-02-05-introducing-the-intfiction-forum-committee.html and the forum is hosted at https://intfiction.org/ Starting in February 2019, the Accessibility Testing Committee commenced its formal testing exercise. Dozens of testers have been engaged through a combination of direct outreach and the support of the AbleGamers Player Panels program, with a report to be compiled and presented to the community this year.
