[Con-volunteer] Reviewing Sign-in Desk and Expo Hall roles

Hi, everyone

Thank you for your patience as I dealt with a sudden illness for the past
few days. I've been meaning to pass along more information than my brief
email from the other day -- here it is, finally!

Sign-in Desk:

Everyone registered for the conference will get a badge. As part of the
sign-in process, you will ask for a person's name, check it against our
printed list, and hand them a badge. Volunteers (us!) will also get an
optional leis to wear to signal that they are a volunteer.

Expo Hall:

If you have signed-up to work in the Expo Hall area, make sure you have
seen the following spreadsheet (

As part of volunteering in the space, you may need to remind people to
clear out when their time is up. It is our hope this will not be needed,
but I strongly recommend being aware of the time slots for the expo hall.
(Printed versions will be available at the conference for volunteers to
reference.)


I'm currently on-boarding three more last-minute volunteers, so there might
be some repeating information over the new few days as I get everyone
up-to-speed on everything.

You can expect more emails with possible tasks tomorrow and possibly into
next week as things come up and I get notified.
