The IFWiki Committee oversees the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the Interactive Fiction Wiki (“IFWiki”). IFWiki is an encyclopedia of interactive fiction, including IF history, theory, craft, tools, and people. IFWiki serves as both a historical record of community knowledge and a guide to resources for playing and creating interactive fiction.
IFWiki was founded in 2004 by David Cornelson and adopted by the interactive fiction community as a safe place to share theory and creative insights outside of the Usenet groups rec.arts/games.int-fiction. In 2022 the IFTF assumed its management and oversight after years of hosting by Peter Seebach, David Cornelson, and Carl Muckenhoupt.
